About
Jayden P. Mullinix
I am Jayden Mullinix, a self-taught multi-media artist located in Stevensville, Maryland. I work with a large range of mediums from graphite pencils to trash and glass I find in my local environment. I regularly practice drawing, painting and sculpting with a wide variety of materials that include but are not limited to; paper-mâché, driftwood, wire, colored pencils, watercolour pencils, acrylic and oil paint. I am certainly a jack of all trades, though a master of some. I learn quickly which assists me when explore new techniques and mediums within my art, as well as enables me to independently construct my life as a creative creator.
"Art is the only way to run away without leaving home."
- Twyla Tharp
JPM’s Art is the brand name for all of my creations, first established in 2020 as my hand assembled jewelry shop on past creator seller platforms. I decided to close my shops in 2022 to focus on this creating this site to release all of my clothing designs in one place rather than on several online marketplaces. On this site, I’ll be sharing blog posts, new creations, my creative process, clothing drops and so much more! My site and my app are both still under construction and will be updated frequently. Please feel free to send me any suggestions you may have regarding this url by email!
“Art is not always about pretty things. It’s about who we are, what happened to us and how our lives are affected.”
-Elizabeth Broun
I am currently working on discovering my niches within my art while simultaneously creating my portfolio for school. In less than three years from now, in 2026, I will be enrolling in community college to become an Art therapist to pursue my passion to help others cope and to share my understanding of creation. In 2028, I will be transferring to my dream school, Savannah College of Art and Design, to complete my education.
"Every artist was first an amateur."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
As Cėsar A. Cruz once said, “art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.” I often refer to this quote when expressing my emotions through my art. I am currently pursuing my passion as a mental health advocate who works to break the stigma associated with mental disorders. I’ll be sharing coping skills and strategies on my blog posts to hopefully influence others to cope in healthier ways. In my eyes, everyone has artistic ability, some just don’t know it until they try. Art should be a fun creative outlet that allows us to express ourselves. I encourage other creatives to never forget to create art that comforts you first, just as Chuck Klosterman said, “Art and love are the same thing: It’s the process of seeing yourself in things that are not you.”
"Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time."
- Thomas Merton
“When it comes to art it’s important no to hide the madness.”
-Atticus
Along with my clothing and art creation, I’ve been working completing on my school bus conversion for the past 3 years. I’m almost finished with my tiny home and very close to preparing for the interior and exterior mural paintings. I hope to inspire more people in my community to consider this lifestyle and encourage you live out your dreams and face your fears. I do intend to one day soon travel in my bus, though I will be staying local to the East Coast for the next 5-6 years. As Joseph C. Pearce said: “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”
Thank you for checking out my website! Stay tuned for more creativity, advice, clothing and art!
"Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep."
- Scott Adams
